I bought a dozen gallon containers of distilled water. My plan is to burn holes in then and put liquid fertilizer in for setting around my roses. I tried one and didn't have a lot of luck. I need a different nozzle for the hose. The water was draining almost as fast as I could fill the container.
I did this with the apple trees. The trick is to plug the drain hole until the gallon is full, then tighten the cap down until it drains to the speed you want it to.
