No Presents

We were volunteering at the hospital gift shop today when an employee came in to look at our jewelry. She said she had gotten no Christmas presents at all. So she was going to buy herself something. I asked if she'd gotten Christmas money and she said no. Her husband hadn't gotten her anything, either! I said that was what my husband got me, too. She said next year we should get each other presents! I said, let's not wait. I'll buy you this snap right now and you can enjoy it every time you see it. She thanked us and said, so you're saying he isn't going to get any better? No, I'm saying if you want something, don't wait for him to guess. Get it. If you want flowers for Valentine's Day..get them.
