Well, it's not my grandma's rose. A friend's neighbor showed me her grandma's rose. She said it was easy to root and gave me a cutting. This is the first rose I've ever successfully rooted. It has put on new growth so I thing it has rooted. The pink is not part of the rose.
I also have an althea (rose of sharon) that rooted. Both are pink.
