Waiting for Bad Weather

When we lived in south Alabama, a couple of times we had to prepare for hurricanes. Here we have tornadoes. I don't know much to do if we have a tornado warning. But right now we are expecting ice and snow. I worry about that because ice can take down power lines and getting onto a road that is maintained isn't easy for us. So, we are expecting ice and snow, and I'm wondering what else we should have done.
