Larry picked two red cabbages yesterday and I canned them today. I've done it before because Larry likes it prepared the way we had it in Germany, kind of sweet and sour. He uses vinegar and splenda...no caraway seeds. At first we couldn't find red cabbage in the stores. Germany has it. So he planted it and grew it. We've found it since.
My slicer makes cutting it in uniform slices easy. What isn't easy is getting every little bit of cabbage cleaned up.
