Listening and Weeding

I had my new book to listen to but people talked to me while I was volunteering. When I got home, I decided if I weeded grass from a flower bed, absolutely nobody would talk to me.
Larry asked if I'd noticed the huge trees down on my way to the hospital. I said I hadn't (which should surprise nobody), but I had noticed the deer beside the road and slowed to a crawl until it decided which way it would bound. I guess the trees posed no possible threat to me so didn't count in my world.
