I made banana nut bread today. I did everything like the recipe called for. But I should have stuck a knife in to check to see if it was done. Didn't. I dumped it onto a wire rack. Then I plopped the goopy stuff back in and put it back in the oven. After baking it about twice as long as the recipe called for, the knife came out clean. This time the cake came out as it should have. It was good. Larry ate two large slices so it wasn't the disaster it first appeared.
Note to self: check to see if it's done before dumping it out!
