Hot Water Heater

The hot water heater in my art room was leaking but we have a guest room now so I didn't replace it.  Guests don't have to sleep on the futon in my art room and we have bathrooms with tubs in the house (instead of just a shower).

But I wanted to clean gourds in the greenhouse and couldn't face doing it with ice water (it was three degrees a little before 8 a.m.) and didn't get over freezing today.  So I brought my extra coffee pot out and warmed up a pot of water, floated the gourds in the carafe of hot water, and then scrubbed the gourds.  It was fast and I didn't freeze my hands.  I used rubber gloves as I also didn't want any more cracking on my hands!
