Old Books

I like science fiction and fantasy stories. I sometimes read post-apocalypse books. It seems reasonable to me that civilizations rise and fall. The fall of a civilization must seem like a post-apocalypse scenario to them. I like the characters dealing with the situation and trying to survive and rebuild. But the last few that I've read have been so depressing that I decided to listen to the Swiss Family Robinson. The language is from a long time ago and is part of it. It's preachy. That didn't bother me when I was a lot younger. I'm getting used to it againbecause I am pretty determined to go through the whole thing.
