The Long Way

We went to the doctor today, about a forty-minute drive. On the way back, we found they had dug all the way across the road. We had to drive back the way we'd come, and return home by a different route. It was an extra two hours. We couldn't see why we were stopped. After a while the people in front of us started turning around and then we could see we weren't going to get through any time soon. Sitting in the sun waiting...nobody telling us anything...fun.
