Today I found out volunteers are supposed to observe the same dress code as the employees. I can dig out my school clothes. But I really like my Teva hiking sandals. I can wear closed shoes, but it seems to me that unless I show up in my housecoat and slippers, they should just say, "Thanks for coming!"
What do I know? I've already had one person tell me she is willing to not wear jeans, but if they say tennis shoes are out, she's gone.
