The little gem we planted earlier has started to bloom.
This is the Little Gem we planted this spring.
This is a southern magnolia we planted several years ago. We had one bloom a year for several years. Last year we'd stop near the tree and count the blooms. We had a good many. This year we think we may have even more.
We have planted one more magnolia in the woods. So far it is about eight inches tall. It was about four inches when we dug it up from Aunt Annie's yard. It has lots of nice new growth.
