Orange Lady Bugs

I've had orange ladybugs in the fall for the last couple of years.  I thought they were coming in with some of the plants we brought into the house about the time of the first frost of the season.  This year we didn't bring those plants into the house but I've vacuumed a couple of dozen orange ladybugs in my sun room today. I looked them up and it said they don't bite but sometimes pinch exposed skin.  I thought they bit because it felt like it.  They are apparently beneficial but annoying in the house.  I agree with the annoying part.
